Dissapointed: Neither no-odor nor non-toxic.
I searched the internet for the least toxic and lowest odor ball possible. I was excited to find this ball. However, the excitment was over when the ball arrived; it is neither no-odor nor non-toxic as the company promotes. Its odor does not make me feel as ill as some others but I still felt a little ill. It has been offgassing for a week now. It is much better but still has a ways to go.
Some reviewers mentioned a problem with the color. I had the same problem. I was sent a dark gray ball even though the picture shows a blue ball. When I complained Amazon quickly tried to remedy the situation and sent me another ball. Unfortuanately, it was the same color. I checked on the Natural Fitness site and the grey ball is the color of their 75 cm pro ball. Amazon has the name right, but thier picture is incorrect. So if you don't want a gray ball, don't get this ball. I did notify Amazon and hopefully they will change their picture.
You may want to order a size larger than you need. I ordered this ball and have it inflated to 64 cm. At 75 cm it is very hard. I am 5' 5" and 64 cm is just right to use the ball as a chair (but I need a smaller one for exercise). My chiropractor says my legs should not be parallel to the floor while sitting. My butt should be higher than my knees. I am using another ball that I borrowed that has already offgassed for a chair and it really helps my back.
Be careful if you order the ocean color!
I ordered the 75cm ball in ocean and was sent the cheaper slate color instead. I also noticed that there were no instructions in the box about how to inflate the ball. I guess they assume you should know how to do it already, but being that this is my first stability ball, I have no idea how to inflate it. In addition, there's all kinds of little parts in the box that I have no idea what they are used for. They definitely need to include a user's manual for first-timers like me. I decided to send this ball back.
Ginormous Ball (must be over 6'2'')
The ball does absolutely what it's advertised to do. The only reason for not being 5 stars is that the online amazon description said nothing about having to be over 6'2'' to properly use this ball. Most online websites say 6' for the 75 cm ball... however when the ball arrived the packaging said 6'2'', and trust me, the packaging is correct. I am 6' tall and I cannot properly do all of the exercises because of the size of the ball (don't trust the balls at your local gym, they're probably underinflated...). Nice ball though, good color, dog hair does not stick to it.
The hand pump does take a while, probably 20 minutes to inflate, but just think of it as exercise.
Worth the money!
I bought this fitness ball while I was pregnant, to help in the early stages of labour at home. I did use it for that purpose, but I have used it so much more since the baby has been born. Holding my baby while bouncing up and down on the ball is like magic for calming my baby and putting her to sleep when she is fussy. Worth every penny! Plus, I will use it to actually exercise and lose the baby weight now. Also, we have a dog, and there is hair everywhere, but it does not stick to the ball.
Would Buy Again In A Heartbeat!
LOVE this ball! A few people said something about it feeling "oily"... I had NO problem with that. No odor and it does NOT pick up pet hair at all!! It's amazing. My 3 year old rolls it all over the house - nothing sticks to it. The only problem for me is that it's just a little too big, but that's my fault! Just gives me a reason to buy another one!
